My Blogs
Blogging, as they say, is at the forefront of web 2.0 and interconnectivity on the internet. Even a 'stay at home' mom, whose life is probably no different to anyone else’s, can create and maintain a blog that is interesting and unique, simply because she herself is unique.
I too like to blog, and listed below are all the places where I maintain one and provide content. Please click on the banners if you wish to vist them.My main/personal blog, this was originally started as an assignment at university to be used as a space where I could post up any assignments that were completed during the course. However, it quickly became a more personal outlet for my thoughts and whims, before finally developing into a semi-serious blog about life, journalism and current events. In recent months, updates on this blog have been few and far between as I concentrate on my freelance work, but I try to post content whenever I can.
My most recent post (as of March '09), NowGamer is the new website/web portal from UK-based specialist magazine publisher Imagine Publishing. It's a combination of aggregated content from all of Imagine's games magazines, plus original content from the web team.
I volunteered to help with the blogging section because I felt I could use my 2+ years experience from my personal blog to help create a unique and interesting voice for myself, and I hope it will help with my future career prospects in games journalism. There are other bloggers who all operate within the same area, so keep an eye out for entries by 'Joe Robinson' and/or under the heading 'JustCommunication'.
